Job Description - Sales Consultant

This long-established family business specialises in Fine Diamond Jewellery and they possess an absolute passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Excitingly a second store is shortly to open which will complement their original trading proposition whilst at the same time extending the opportunity to trade with an ever wider circle of potential clientele. As a consequence of this new investment, new hires are needing to be selected, signed up, and at the earliest moment possible inducted into this blossoming retail jewellery enterprise.

For our client it is essential that applicants have a genuine understanding of jewellery merchandise and it would be expected that you have already committed yourself to, and achieved some recognisable industry accreditation. JET 1 (Jewellery Educational Trust) or the JET 2 certification would be a great starting point.

Should you have further elevated your gemmology learning at a BA Hons Degree or Advanced Level FGA / DGA these further qualifications are absolutely of recruitment interest.

Such is the breadth of Jewellery that you will be dealing with, you should be familiar with presenting rings (engagement & wedding), bridal jewellery, across to necklaces and pendants. Within this business they also offer a range of services from gold buying, coin dealing, across to offering a comprehensive jewellery repair & after sales service.

Individually you revel in the responsibility of both achieving individually set KPI’s with the emphasis being on customer sales & service. Team contribution is of equivalent performance value and you would be encouraged to assist and underpin your colleague’s efforts to likewise deliver best store visit experience.

Togetherness as an enterprise is encouraged - possessing such a varied collective of trade experience available to advise. All personnel work tirelessly to ensure that all their clientele whenever in a Jewellery purchasing mind set - approach this business as a 1st choice resource whatever the related need may be.

The store is open seven days a week and all staff are allocated as balanced work rota’s as possible; the priority always being that best in market sales staff representation is ever available in-store.
