SDR - Is it the Toughest but Most Rewarding Job in Sales?

You’ll speak to total strangers, dig messages out from under inbox clutter, and bounce back fast from rejection. But that’s what makes it thrilling. What You'll Be Doing 




As a Sales Development Representative (BDR), you will play a pivotal role in generating new business opportunities and helping Solidatus expand into new markets and segments. You’ll work closely with the marketing and sales teams to nurture inbound leads, build relationships, and convert interest into qualified pipeline. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to grow their career in enterprise software sales. You will: 


 



  • Engage with inbound leads to understand their challenges, educate them about Solidatus, and qualify interest.

  • Follow up on marketing-generated leads from campaigns, events, and webinars.

  • Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across Financial Services organisations.

  • Prospect into target accounts via cold outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn, etc.) to generate and qualify leads.

  • Collaborate with Sales Team to research, build and execute campaigns across target accounts using LinkedIn, Hubspot and Salesloft

  • Maintain accurate data and activity tracking in Hubspot

  • Identify new business opportunities through research and discovery.

  • Stay up to date on Solidatus’ solutions and industry trends to confidently speak with prospects.


 


What We're Looking For 




Required: 




  • 2+ years of experience in business development or inside sales, in a SaaS or tech environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with decision-makers

  • Experience qualifying and nurturing leads through early stages of the sales funnel

  • Experience working with prospecting tools, for example Hubspot, Salesloft, Lusha.

  • Self-starter with a growth mindset, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Organised and persistent, with the ability to manage multiple outreach efforts simultaneously

  • Ability to think creatively and experiment with different outreach strategies 



  • Goal-oriented and driven to meet or exceed targets




Bonus Points For: 




  • Familiarity with data lineage, data governance, or enterprise architecture tools

  • Experience with regulated and complex industries a plus

  • Previous experience using sales enablement tools and platforms
