Job Description - Sales Development Representative

Job DescriptionAbout the RoleThis entry-level sales candidate for OPIS, a Dow Jones Company. Reporting into the Director, Sales/Business Development you will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery and individual research. A dynamic personality with a desire to reach decision-makers is necessary . As the Sales Development Representative you will handle client support requests, prospecting, and qualifying new sales leads, in addition to finding whitespace for new logos.You Will:Maintain a self-starter attitude while creating outreach strategies for new lead generation methodsBe the first point of contact for new business prospects and determine the next steps for each prospect moving forwardQualify all inbound leads for the sales teamSupport sales colleagues on outbound strategies and lead generating effortsEstablish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales openingsCollaborate with sales teams by creating innovative lead generation ideasBecome familiar with Base Chemicals product portfolioAssist sales colleagues by responding to client support requestsUtilize Salesforce to track all client interactionsProvide Salesforce reporting metrics to sales leadersProviding clients, both internal and external, with timely assistance as required to help build and cultivate prospect relationships in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel.Helping to drive leads and online traffic with web-based activities and programs in partnership with Marketing function.Other duties as assignedYou Have:Prior sales experienceWorking knowledge of the Chemical industryMust be proficient in SalesForce; experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or other similar prospecting applications is a plusExcellent interpersonal skills and phone/email presence; can deal with others in a pleasant manner and work under varying degrees of pressure and time constraintsAbility to work independently while still working within an integrated team structureA team player that recognises and contributes to the goals of the teamExcellent customer service skills.Personal initiative and ability to prioritize and multi-task efficiently and effectivelyDemonstrated success in uncover business potential through pre-sales preparation work and with a good understanding of the client’s needs to progressing leadEnglish (verbal and written) proficiency requiredLimited travel unless occasionally for conferences / exhibitions but will not be more than 10-15% of the time when neededAbout us:Dow Jones is a global provider of news and business information, delivering content to consumers and organizations around the world across multiple formats, including print, digital, mobile and live events.
