Job Description - Sales Development Representative SDR

Adele Carr Recruitment is proud to be working with a fast-growing logistics provider to recruit a Sales Development Representative (SDR). This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving business with a state-of-the-art distribution centre in Wigan. Salary & Benefits:

  • 40,000 base salary + uncapped bonus (£55,000 OTE)

What will be expected of you:

The SDR will play a crucial role in the business development team, helping to drive growth by identifying, qualifying, and progressing new sales opportunities. You'll work closely with the Head of Business Development and marketing colleagues to generate leads, book discovery calls, and support the wider sales process.

  • Outbound prospecting: Build and maintain a targeted prospect database through research, networking events, webinars, and exhibitions
  • Lead generation: Initiate contact with potential clients via email, LinkedIn, and phone to secure discovery calls and qualified meetings
  • Inbound qualification: Assess inbound enquiries using a consultative approach to determine fit and potential
  • CRM & reporting: Maintain accurate records in the CRM system (e.g., HubSpot) and support the preparation of bids and reports
  • Sales support: Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a smooth transition from lead to client onboarding


What we are looking for:

We're seeking a proactive and personable individual who is motivated by results and enjoys speaking with people. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have a genuine interest in helping retail brands scale through intelligent logistics solutions.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a sales, business development, or lead generation role
  • Ideally experience within logistics, supply chain, or eCommerce-related sectors
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage key stakeholders
  • A consultative, solution-focused sales approach
  • Self-starter who can manage their time and workload effectively
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce
  • Full UK driving licence
