Overview:
We are currently seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Director of Sales. Based in London, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving revenue and market share growth while providing strategic leadership to our sales team.
Responsibilities:
As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for:
- Formulating and executing revenue and pricing strategies in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Collaborating on the development of annual commercial plans and budgets.
- Ensuring adherence to sales strategies and negotiating key rates effectively.
- Conducting comprehensive competitor analysis to inform sales and business development strategies.
- Utilizing sales and commercial systems proficiently to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leading and developing a high-performing sales team through effective communication, guidance, and coaching.
- Cultivating a dynamic sales environment that upholds our brand standards and values.
- Managing key hotel sales accounts and driving proactive new business development initiatives.
- Participating in industry events, sales trips, and trade shows to promote our offerings and build strategic partnerships.
- Collaborating with Global Sales offices to optimize sales opportunities and cross-selling initiatives.
- Ensuring all sales collateral and communication materials meet brand standards and resonate with target audiences.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in upscale or luxury hospitality, with a proven track record of revenue generation.
- Strong team management experience and leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in hotel sales systems, with pre-existing skills in platforms such as Opera, Delphi Sales & Catering, Salesforce, and others considered desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas confidently and professionally.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to close business effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, planning abilities, and a luxury mindset.
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach to work.
