Neos Networks is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Director – Utilities to lead and grow our Utilities vertical. This is a high-impact leadership role with full accountability for revenue, strategy, and team performance across a critical sector of our business.

The Role
As Sales Director – Utilities, you will take ownership of the Utilities vertical, combining strategic leadership with hands-on commercial delivery. You’ll be responsible for:
Leading the sector strategy and delivering sustained revenue growth
Acting as Executive Sponsor for a major strategic account (SSE)
Driving new customer acquisition across the Utilities market
Managing, leading, and developing a high-performing sales team
This role offers a blend of strategic influence, client engagement, and leadership responsibility, with direct impact on business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute a sector-wide go-to-market strategy
Identify new revenue streams across transmission, distribution, and renewables
Align sector plans to broader business growth objectives
Strategic Account Ownership
Build and maintain C-level relationships
Drive account growth, retention, and long-term positioning
Lead proactive account planning and maximise wallet share
New Business Growth
Develop and deliver new logo acquisition strategy
Build and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline
Establish market presence through industry engagement
Commercial & Financial Ownership
Own revenue targets, growth, and margin performance
Lead complex deal structuring and negotiations
Ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline governance
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop Account Directors and Executives
Set clear KPIs and drive high performance
Build a strong talent pipeline and succession plan
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Pre-Sales, Product, Delivery, and Marketing
Shape compelling customer propositions and solutions
Ensure smooth transition from sales to delivery
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Proven leadership experience in Utilities, Telecoms, or Infrastructure sales
Track record of managing major strategic accounts (e.g. SSE-level)
Strong new business and revenue growth delivery
Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams
Exceptional commercial acumen and deal negotiation skills
Desirable:
Deep knowledge of the UK Utilities sector and regulatory landscape
Experience across Transmission, Distribution, Renewables, or Energy networks
Understanding of network/telecom solutions (fibre, ethernet, managed services)
