Our client is a leading provider of advanced manufacturing solutions, specialising in CNC routers, CO2 laser cutters, fibre lasers, and other state-of-the-art machinery. With a commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, they serve a diverse range of industries, including automotive, aerospace, signage, and furniture manufacturing. 

About the Role:

As a Sales Engineer, you will be at the forefront sales operations, responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining and growing existing customer accounts, and providing exceptional technical support to a range of clients. Your role will involve preparing and delivering technical presentations, conducting thorough investigations to understand client needs, and recommending appropriate solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Development:
    • Prospect and build relationships with potential clients.
    • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
    • Understand client needs and recommend solutions.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to meet customer requirements.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
  • Proposal and Negotiation:
    • Prepare detailed proposals and quotations.
    • Negotiate contracts and terms of sale.
    • Develop sales strategies with the Sales Director.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
    • Gather feedback to inform product development.
    • Ensure post-sale client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a sales engineer or technical sales role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of CNC machines, laser cutters, and related equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and industry events.
