Sales Estimator

Join a leading independent plumbing and heating merchant with nearly 50 years of excellence in supplying quality materials to the building industry. We are seeking a knowledgeable Internal Sales Advisor and Estimator to support the sales teams and provide exceptional service to their customers.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming quotation requests from the External Sales Team and directly from customers.
• Manage customer phone calls with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
• Provide accurate and timely quotations, advising on product shortages and expected delivery dates.
• Collaborate with the Commercial Team on special order items and customer terms.
• Communicate directly with both current and prospective customers to evaluate their needs and offer alternative products when necessary.
• Work closely with the External Sales Team to instil confidence in our ability to deliver on promises and maximise quotation conversion rates.
• Liaise with suppliers for take-off and contract pricing as required.
• Follow up on leads from the Customer Services Team and manage email communications effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong IT proficiency, particularly in MS Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Understanding of the sales administration process.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills, capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving ability with a proactive, can-do attitude.
• High attention to detail.
• In-depth knowledge of plumbing products to effectively communicate with plumbing contractors and assist internal/external teams.
• Approachable with an excellent telephone manner.
