Sales Estimator

CDM Recruitment is recruiting a detail-oriented and commercially aware Sales Estimator / Pricer to join a busy sales office in Middlesbrough. The position is focused on producing accurate, competitive quotations and supporting sales teams with pricing insight across a technical product range.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and timely quotations from enquiries generated by Sales and Account Management teams.

Liaise with colleagues across multiple branch locations to clarify pricing and customer requirements.

Provide guidance on quotations and orders to improve accuracy and conversion rates.

Analyse market trends, product ranges and cable types to maintain competitive pricing.

Review pricing in response to supplier changes, market movement and customer requirements.

Manage multiple quotations and deadlines simultaneously.

Communicate effectively by telephone and email with internal stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Previous estimating, pricing, quotations or sales support experience.

Strong numerical and analytical ability with excellent attention to detail.

Commercial awareness and an understanding of pricing principles.

Confident communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Strong organisation and ability to manage competing deadlines.

Microsoft Office and sales/order system experience.

Cable, electrical or a related technical/product-based background is strongly preferred.

Package & Benefits

This is a full-time, office-based position. Hybrid and remote working are not offered.

Due to local traffic and the office-based nature of the role, candidates should ideally live within approximately a 30-minute commute.

22 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service to a maximum of 25 days.

Annual pay review.

Company pension: 5% employee contribution and 3% employer contribution.

Non-contractual scrap bonus after 12 months' service.

Non-contractual Christmas bonus after 12 months' service, starting at one week's wage and increasing with length of service.
