Job Description - Sales Estimator – Training Provided
Our forward-thinking client are looking to recruit a Sales Estimator to join their down to earth and dedicated team. This is a permanent, office-based role from their offices in Gloucester. Working closely with the sales team, you will be responsible for managing incoming tenders, preparing accurate quotations and liaising with clients to ensure project requirements are fully understood. You will manage multiple tenders at any one time, ensuring deadlines are met and a smooth handover through to order.
Full training will be provided, so previous experience within the specific sector is not essential. However, any experience within a similar estimating, tendering or quotation-based role, or within a technical, engineering, construction or manufacturing environment, would be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
-Receiving and reviewing incoming tender information, ensuring all requirements are fully understood
-Liaising directly with clients to clarify project scope, specifications and requirements
-Preparing accurate budgets and quotations in line with client requirements and company margins
-Working closely with the sales team to support the wider bid and sales process
-Managing multiple tenders simultaneously and ensuring all deadlines are met
-Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on the CRM system, including tender status, client communications and quotation details
-Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams
Candidate Attributes:
-Previous experience in an estimating, tendering or quotation-based role would be beneficial
-Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence liaising directly with clients
-Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
-Good working knowledge of CRM systems and general IT, including Excel and Word
-A proactive, organised and collaborative approach to work
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience, plus additional earning potential once fully trained, pension scheme and the opportunity for professional development within a growing business Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
