Job Opportunity: Sales Executive | Solihull, West Midlands
Salary: Basic salary up to £40,000 with an OTE of up to £70,000, however, this is uncapped
Car Allowance: £350 car allowance per month
Benefits: Hybrid working - 3 days office based, 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays, paid mileage, life insurance, pension and free car parking.
Hours of work: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday

We’re delighted to be working exclusively with a highly respected provider of maintenance consultancy and workforce training solutions, they are seeking a driven and commercially minded Sales Executive to lead and grow their client base across consultancy and training service lines, UK and Internationally. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, preferably in consultancy services (Consultative sales approach) or industrial training sectors, and will have a passion for building long-term client relationships. You will play a key role in identifying business opportunities, closing deals, and driving revenue growth.
As the Sales Executive, your key responsibilities are to:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve company targets for consultancy and maintenance management training services
- Identify and engage with potential clients across relevant sectors (e.g., manufacturing, energy, utilities, etc.)
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing
- Collaborate with consultants and trainers to align service offerings with client needs
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to promote the brand
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasts and performance reports
- Build and manage a small sales team as the business scales
- Gather market intelligence to inform service development and pricing strategies
As the Sales Executive, you will have:
- Experience in offering a consultative sales approach, specialising in supporting the manufacturing industry
- Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience, preferably in consultancy, training, or technical services
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- A full UK driving licence is required as you will be visiting clients face to face
- Strong understanding of maintenance management principles (e.g., reliability, asset management, CMMS, TPM, RCM) is a plus
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and customer-focused
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
