This role would suit someone with timber experience - perhaps a machinist, sawmill operative or production professional - who is ready to move into a more customer facing position. You don’t need to be a polished salesperson already; what matters is your enthusiasm, your product knowledge, and your ability to communicate confidently. As a sales executive, you’ll be the person customers rely on to solve problems, offer guidance and keep projects moving.

What you’ll be doing as a sales executive

Speaking with customers daily, understanding their needs and offering practical solutions

Using your timber knowledge to advise on products, specifications and options

Working closely with production and operations to ensure orders run smoothly, as well as machining the timber yourself

Building long‑term relationships with clients and helping grow the business
