Overview:
Our client is seeking a dynamic Sales Executive to join their team in driving sales growth and expanding their customer base. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in achieving sales targets. The Sales Executive is an important role within the commercial team. Reporting to the Commercial Director, this is a sales role with the Sales Executive expected to hit their monthly and seasonal sales targets. The Sales Executive will need to identify sales opportunities, present opportunities and manage their pipeline to achieve and exceed as well as be part of the commercial team and assist in the delivery and management of home matchdays, networking and other events.
Specific Responsibilites:
* Work closely with and take instruction from the Commercial Director on the development of sales strategy and identification of assets to create sales opportunities
* Develop a strategy to target mainly local but also national business to promote our client and the commercial opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, advertising, hospitality and meeting space sales
* Obtain and maintain a deep understanding of assets and opportunities
* Use multiple methods to generate leads, develop relationships and achieve meetings with key decision makers, including the use of telephone calls, emails, personal visits, networking events, LinkedIn and other social media platforms
* Present opportunities to decision makers and develop tailored presentations and material to present
* Secure new commercial partners, sponsors and clients by attracting new brands to the club while aiming to retain existing partners
* Hit weekly call targets and meeting targets to build a personal pipeline
* Convert opportunities to sales and hit and exceed monthly and seasonal targets
* Assist in the delivery of outstanding customer service and experiences for partners, sponsors and clients on matchdays as part of the matchday commercial team
* Work closely with other members of the commercial and marketing team in the pursuit of achievement of team targets and to help deliver outstanding customer service and meet the needs of all the clubs partners, sponsors and clients
* Promote the clubs business club and work with the Commercial Director on the development of the business club and business club events
* Assist in the sales, planning and delivery of other commercial events
* Attend weekly sales meetings and prepare reports as required by the Commercial Director
* Use and keep up to date the CRM system
* Work closely with other members of the wider football club and community trust teams.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a sales role with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Proficiency in using Salesforce or similar CRM software for managing customer relationships
- Experience in telemarketing and cold calling to generate leads and drive sales
- Fluent in English to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
This is a full time role and you are expected to work from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. You are required to work on home matchdays, time in lieu is given for matchday hours. You may be required to adjust your working hours on occasions and to work at other times outside of the standard hours due to the nature of the role.
Other Requirements:
* Comply with all company policies and procedures.
* Every employee is required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.
* The role requires the need to attend partner and sponsor premises for meetings on a regular basis, therefore a valid UK driving licence is required to perform the role
