Sales Ledger Assistant

Reed Accountancy & Finance is seeking a detail-oriented Sales Ledger Assistant to manage sales invoicing for our client. This pivotal role ensures the accuracy of financial records and requires a candidate who is highly analytical, proficient in Excel, and capable of building strong relationships with both customers and colleagues.

• Input sales invoices from multiple customers and accurately allocate customer payments.
• Raise quarterly intercompany invoices and produce a monthly debtors report.
• Chase outstanding debts and determine the root causes of non-payment.
• Collaborate with sales agents to investigate and resolve non-payment issues.
• Create export invoices in compliance with HMRC requirements.

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
• Proactive follow-up with customers to understand non-payment issues and required actions.
• Ability to handle ad hoc tasks, such as producing compliant export invoices.
• Excellent communication skills for building relationships with external sales agents.
