Job Description - Sales Manager

My client is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sales Executive with a hunter mentality - someone who thrives on finding and winning new business, is motivated by targets, and has a competitive edge that drives results.

They are one of the fastest growing businesses in their field of expertise and they are seeking to further expand their market presence and drive revenue growth across various sectors. They look to empower their clients with innovative solutions and services to enhance their business performance and achieve their objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities to consistently exceed sales targets.

  • Take full ownership of the sales pipeline, from lead generation through to closing deals, with a focus on high-value B2B clients.

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction, retention, and up-selling opportunities.

  • Drive a performance-focused culture, leading by example with energy, resilience, and a competitive approach to achieving results.

  • Monitor individual and team KPIs daily, identifying opportunities to improve sales performance and coaching team members for success.

  • Deliver accurate sales forecasting and contribute to strategic planning to ensure financial targets are achieved.

  • Conduct daily team meetings to align focus, build momentum, and keep the team energised and accountable.

  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity, adapting sales strategies to maximise growth opportunities.

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine propositions and ensure alignment with customer needs.

  • Uphold a high standard of professionalism and ensure CRM systems and sales reporting tools are kept accurate and up to date.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent knowledge of the East Anglian business base with proven experience in B2B sales.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Competent in planning and organising, with excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Experience in field and telesales with a focus on delivering results and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and effectively forecast business performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and sales software.
  • Leadership and management training.
  • A commitment to continuous self-improvement and professional development.
