Our client, a leading organisation in Chesterfield with a long standing history of quality service and products, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Office Manager to lead their sales office!

Role Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on Sales Office Manager to lead a small, busy team. This is a working manager role, combining day-to-day operational involvement with overall responsibility for office performance and processes.

The successful candidate will be a proactive leader who enjoys balancing people management, process improvement, and hands-on operational delivery. You will be accountable for ensuring the office functions as a high-performing unit, with strong systems, clear structure, and a culture of accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the daily operations of the sales office, creating a positive, supportive and results driven environment that maximises revenue and protects customer relationships
Set weekly plans for the team, focusing on quote follow-ups, account reactivation calls, and new business development
Review and monitor office performance, adjusting resources as necessary to meet targets
Coach and develop the sales team on effective selling techniques, systems skills, and product knowledge
Creating and maintaining robust processes that enable the office to operate effectively, even during periods of absence.
Establishing clear responsibilities and strong working relationships between the office and wider operational functions.
Monitoring performance, driving continuous improvement, and taking ownership of the office's overall results.
Lead a monthly commercial review with the Commercial Director to align on performance.Key Requirements:

Proven track record of managing a small sales or service team
Comfortable working with data, with the ability to analyse performance metrics and act on findings
Credible and confident when handling sales calls and coaching team members
Highly organised and consistent, ensuring routines are maintained
Experience in trade sales and/or distribution is beneficialThis is a full time, permanent office-based role in Chesterfield.
