Sales Order Processor

JOB TITLE: Sales order processor
JOB TYPE: Permanent
JOB SALARY: Depending on your experience, between £25000 and £29000
JOB HOURS: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch
JOB LOCATION: March, Cambridgeshire
JOB NOTES: This job is based 5 days per week in the office - no working from home

Your new company
Our client has been in business since 1984 and has gone through a successful expansion programme to the point that they are one of the market leaders in their sector and turnover in excess of £35million each year! They've got a flat management structure, so you don't have to go through layers and layers of managers before you get to speak to the boss, and they are hiring a sales order processor to join their team in their modern, purpose-built offices & warehouse in March, Cambridgeshire.

Your new role
This is a small company of less than 20 staff, so there's a good chance that you'll have loads of variety in the work you'll do, but primarily you will be responsible for adding new customer orders to the system, booking deliveries with transport / logistics providers, updating customers with when they can expect to receive their goods and dealing with any order queries or issues and supporting the sales team by pricing up new quotes.

What you'll need to succeed
In such a small team, it's really important that everyone gets along, so it's very important to our client to find someone who is a team player and who will turn their hand to any task when it is needed.
You'll need excellent attention to detail as you'll be working with numbers a lot - quantities, prices etc.
Our client is particularly looking for someone who sees this job as a long-term home for them - he joked he would like someone to stay until they retire! So he's not keen on CVs that show lots of movement without good reason (just FYI).
