Sales Representative

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Sales Representative to develop new business and maintain customer relationships within the CNC machining and subcontract engineering industry. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing quotations, understanding customer drawings and specifications, and an established network of industry contacts.

Key Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities within the CNC machining and subcontract engineering sectors.

*

Maintain and build relationships with existing and potential customers.

*

Prepare and follow up on quotations for CNC machining, milling, turning and other subcontract engineering work.

*

Review customer drawings and specifications to help prepare accurate quotations.

*

Identify new customers and generate sales leads.

*

Negotiate pricing and follow up on orders to secure new business.

*

Liaise with the production team to understand machining capabilities, costs and lead times.

*

Monitor customer requirements and identify opportunities for repeat business.

Skills and Experience

*

Previous sales experience within CNC machining, precision engineering or subcontract manufacturing.

*

Experience preparing and following up on quotations.

*

Established contacts within the engineering and manufacturing industry.

*

Good understanding of engineering drawings and machining processes.

*

Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

*

Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently.

*

Full UK driving Licence

Desirable

*

An existing customer base within the CNC subcontract machining industry.

*

Experience in business development and generating new sales.

*

Knowledge of materials, machining costs and manufacturing lead times.

Remuneration

Competitive salary or commission-based package, depending on experience and the agreed arrangement
