Job Description - Sales Specialist

About the Job

We’re looking for enthusiastic and driven Sales Specialists to join our team at Ingram Micro. This is a proactive sales role supporting key vendor portfolios including IoT, EDC, and Dell. You’ll work closely with customers to offer expert advice and tailored solutions from leading technology brands.

You’ll become a go-to advisor, building strong relationships and helping businesses get the most from their technology investments. With full training and support, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your sales career in the fast-moving tech industry.

This position is ideal for someone with 1-4 years’ experience in a customer-facing or sales environment, who’s eager to learn, grow, and make an impact in a structured, supportive setting.

Note: This is not a cold-calling role. Sales activity is outbound and proactive, but focused on existing and engaged customers.

What your role as a Sales Specialist will involve:

  • Proactively sell - primarily over the phone - a portfolio of products and services, focusing on IoT, EDC, and Dell solutions
  • Build and maintain excellent customer relationships, delivering outstanding service and support
  • Develop strong knowledge of vendor offerings, pricing, availability, and promotions
  • Provide accurate quotes and product guidance
  • Identify and follow up on sales leads and opportunities
  • Track and manage deal progress accurately using internal systems
  • Collaborate in sales focus days and customer events as required

To set you up for success we are looking for the following skills and experience

  • Experience in Sales, Account Management, or a customer-focused administrative role
  • Confidence communicating over the phone, via email, and in person
  • Motivation to learn and grow - especially within a technology sales environment
  • Good computer literacy, including Outlook, Word, Excel; CRM experience is a plus
  • A proactive mindset and desire to improve processes and outcomes
