Sales Support Executive

ABOUT YOU 

We are seeking someone who is highly organised, methodical and detail-focused, with a strong eye for accuracy when recording, managing and tracking information. You’ll have a genuine passion for sales and new business, with the drive and enthusiasm to identify opportunities, engage prospective clients and turn research into meaningful conversations. You’ll be motivated by achieving results and enjoy the challenge of opening doors and creating new commercial opportunities. We are looking for someone who is confident using data, research and sales tools to support targeted outreach activity, and who is comfortable embracing AI and new technology to improve the speed, efficiency and accuracy of prospect research.

Required skills and experience:

• Highly organised, methodical and detail-focused, with strong accuracy in recording and tracking information
• Confident using data, research and sales tools to support targeted outreach activity
• AI and technology native, with the ability to use agreed tools to improve the speed, efficiency and accuracy of prospect research
• Logical and analytical approach to identifying potential client fit and qualifying interest
• Comfortable conducting new business outreach through both email and telephone follow-up
• Persistent, professional and structured in managing campaign follow-up activity

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY 

We’re looking for a Sales Support Executive to play a key role in supporting our new business growth. This is an opportunity to develop your sales skills, build commercial experience and become an important part of our business development team. You’ll research target markets, uncover potential clients, identify opportunities and support targeted outreach campaigns across email and telephone. Using data, technology and AI tools, you’ll turn research into real sales conversations and qualified opportunities. We’re looking for someone with energy, curiosity and a genuine passion for sales and someone who enjoys finding opportunities, building relationships and seeing their work turn into results.

Key activities:

• Research, profile and prioritise agreed target sectors to identify government and private sector organisations with potential fit for key services
• Use approved internal and external sales tools, including AI-enabled research tools, to identify potential client needs, interest signals and contact details
• Plan and execute targeted, sequenced email campaigns to generate new business conversations
• Follow up outreach activity with structured phone calls to qualify interest and progress opportunities
• Maintain accurate records of campaign activity, prospect data, responses and outcomes
• Track outreach performance and contribute to reporting against agreed activity KPIs
• Work methodically to support the qualification of potential opportunities for handover to the wider sales or business development team
• Additional sales support responsibilities include weekly and monthly sales department performance tracking and customer satisfaction surveys
• Build a working knowledge of Intertek’s cybersecurity services through training, shadowing and supported client meetings
