Job Description - Sales Support Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Support Manager for large commercial manufacturers to head up the internal account management & sales support department managing large project intake quotations & handling general trade queries, complaints, escalations, order processing, project intake, project management, logistical handling, freight tracking, stock management, & relationship oversight.

Our current client is a prominent and well-established product manufacturer that specializes in supplying a wide range of facilities equipment. They cater primarily to large retail chains and general construction trades, providing direct, reliable, and high-volume distribution solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of commercial and industrial clients.

Description

Key responsibilities consist of:

  • Take full ownership of all portable enquiries, ensuring they are pre-qualified and effectively managed through the entire sales pipeline, in collaboration with relevant team members, until closure.
  • Identify strategic opportunities to upsell and cross-sell solutions that best meet customer needs and add value.
  • Lead targeted LinkedIn campaigns to promote product and service offerings, driving brand visibility and generating qualified leads.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement customer nurturing strategies, strengthening engagement and loyalty.
  • Drive focused initiatives aimed at securing and retaining exclusive business agreements with key accounts.
  • Provide senior-level coverage and support for external Product Sales Managers (PSMs) during periods of absence such as holidays, exhibitions, or conferences.
  • Research and evaluate new and emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact on the business and identifying promising target markets.
  • Design and produce tools, reference guides, and resources to support internal training, development, and onboarding initiatives.
  • Actively listen to customer feedback to inform pre-sales strategy and improve customer engagement throughout the sales cycle.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional approach.
  • Ability to own and manage a sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups on enquiries and leads.
  • A proactive sales mindset, always identifying new opportunities in any situation.
  • Capable of managing expectations across all parties in the sales pipeline and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Dedicated to delivering an outstanding customer experience at every touchpoint, always striving to exceed expectations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an independent and process-improvement mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Confident in questioning, challenging, and providing feedback to improve team performance.
  • Skilled in creating, managing, and reporting on sales activities, conversion rates, and business outcomes.
  • Demonstrates empathy and active listening to fully understand customer needs.
  • Willing to engage in sales training to enhance customer interactions by asking relevant questions and offering suitable products or services.
  • Positive and professional attitude with a passion for learning and self-improvement.
  • Genuine interest in working in a sales/technical environment and developing relevant skills.

Job Offer

  • Basic starting salary of £32k upto £35 with enhanced bonus share scheme yearly
