Sales Support Manager
Location: Smethwick
Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 (Depending on experience)

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Support Manager to join a well-established and growing business based in Smethwick. This is a varied role that combines sales administration, customer account management and export coordination, supporting both UK and international customers.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently, maintaining excellent customer relationships and supporting the wider sales team.

Key Responsibilities
Manage customer sales orders from receipt through to delivery
Process quotations, sales orders and customer invoices
Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure customer deadlines are met
Prepare and manage export documentation in line with current legislation
Act as the main point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone, email and face-to-face
Build and maintain strong relationships with UK and overseas customers
Provide accurate updates to customers regarding order progress and delivery schedules
Liaise with internal departments to communicate customer demand and purchasing requirements
Support the external sales team with day-to-day account management
Manage key customer accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Complete daily cash reporting and petty cash administration
Assist with additional administrative duties as required

About You
Previous experience within a sales support, sales administration or account management role
Experience processing customer orders from enquiry through to completion
Knowledge of export procedures and documentation would be highly advantageous
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills
Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be beneficial
