As a Sales Support Specialist here at Illumina in Cambridge, you will play a key role within our Commercial Operations function by developing accurate, timely quotations that support our commercial organisation and ensure alignment with Illumina’s pricing, legal, financial, and brand standards. In this fast‑paced and highly collaborative environment, you will work closely with sales teams, commercial stakeholders, and cross‑functional partners to interpret deal requirements, resolve issues, and deliver high‑quality support. Your work will help us Make Customers Heroes by enabling them to receive the best possible experience throughout the quoting process.
This is a 1‑Year Fixed Term Contract to be based onsite in Cambridge, UK. You will work a minimum of 3 days in the office and must have fluent English language skills.

Responsibilities:
Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Determines a course of action based on guidelines. Modifies processes and methods as required.
Works on assignments of moderate scope where problem solving requires application of learned techniques.
Builds productive working relationships internally and externally.
Provides standard professional guidance and collaborates to resolve mutual problems.
Works autonomously and receives little instruction on day-to-day work/new assignments.
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Requirements:
Previous experience working within a office-based, administrative role is essential with preferable experience of working within a sales support or Commercial Operations function.
Excellent commercial skills
High attention to detail, capable of prioritizing multiple requests while maintaining open lines of communication with the requestor and adhering to standard turnaround times.
Able to work well within a fast-paced role
Ability to interpret requests and determine appropriate quoting mechanism based on product line, deal terms and Illumina policy.
Good problem solving skills, if an issue were to arise the candidate will have the ability to take appropriate action to escalate and obtain consensus from key stakeholders to identify the appropriate solution .
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Fluent/Native English language
