As a Sales Team Leader, you will play a crucial role as a Player/Manager focused on leadership of a Sales ‘Pod’ whilst continuing to nurture and drive business into your own account base. You will be responsible for managing and developing your team whilst continuing to drive sales growth, ensuring customer satisfaction within your own account base. You will collaborate with internal teams across Sales, Marketing & Solutions to deliver tailored Go to Markets in line with Crayon’s sales strategy. This role requires a proactive, results-driven people manager with excellent communication skills and a passion for technology.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Sales Management: Coach and nurture a team of Key Account Managers to achieve and exceed GP Targets
- Account Management: Support managing a portfolio of accounts alongside your Key Account Managers, ensuring long-term success and customer satisfaction
- Sales Growth: Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within new and existing accounts to maximize profitability
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to deliver comprehensive solutions
- Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts and business updates to senior management for your Sales Pod
- Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies
Your Competencies:
- 5+ years' experience in IT sector business operations within multi-cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or similar platforms, and have completed commercial training and have a solid understanding of our services
- A solid understanding of or experience in software licensing with leading market vendors as well as cloud technologies
- Prior experience in selling managed services
- Experience selling into the UK Corporate space

- You possess strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
