Job Description - SALESFORCE MARKETING CLOUD GLOBAL PRODUCT OWNER

WHAT TO EXPECT

We are actively in pursuit of an accomplished Product Owner, poised to play a pivotal role in advancing our Salesforce Marketing Cloud Global realm.

This individual will be strategic and highly capable Salesforce Marketing Cloud Product Owner, to join our dynamic team at JLR. As the strategic owner and gate keeper for this crucial North Star MarTech platform, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective utilisation and enhancement of SFMC across the entirety of JLR.

Your mission? To be tasked with ensuring the platform enables and powers exceptional customer experiences befitting of Modern Luxury, and ensuring JLR derive measurable return on investment from the significant licence investment in Salesforce.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

General Point of Contact for SFMC demand:

Serve as the go-to person, and crucially Gatekeeper for all SFMC-related inquiries, support requests, and initiatives. Have the ability to identify which requests to prioritise / fast track and where the demand needs to be challenged
Proactively identify new use cases and integration for the platform
Actively engage with internal JLR and external third-party stakeholders to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions leveraging SFMC capabilities

Understanding of SFMC License Landscape and Consumption Management across Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement (MCE) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence (MCI):

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of SFMC licensing models and ensure optimal utilisation of licenses across the organisation given the overall JLR SELA (Strategic Enterprise Licence Agreement)
Play the lead role in managing license allocations, renewals, and optimisations to maximise value while controlling costs

Liaison with the JLR Salesforce Centre of Excellence (CoE) :

Collaborate closely with the Salesforce CoE to align SFMC usage with JLR's organisational goals and standards
Ensure that SFMC architecture topics are presented effectively at COE stage gates to ensure that strategic initiatives can proceed without delay
Help define and adhere to Salesforce CoE governance guidelines

SFMC Expertise Development:

Continuously enhance expertise in SFMC functionalities, best practices, and emerging trends
Actively participate in training programs, webinars, and community forums to stay updated with the latest advancements in SFMC

Creation of SFMC Community amongst JLR and third-party stakeholders:

Help to foster a strong SFMC community within JLR and our third-party partners, encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration among users
Drive process efficiency to ensure the overall SFMC platform engine is working in a lean fashion with high output

User Access Management:

Work with SFMC Administrator to maintain visibility and awareness of user access requests and statuses

SFMC Backlog Ownership and Prioritization:

Be the strategic of the SFMC project backlog, including enhancements, configurations, and integrations, in close collaboration with our third-party implementation vendors, agencies and partners
Be the custodian of SFMC Architecture and best practice. Maintain awareness of, and be the approver for, any new integrations or Data Feeds connecting to SFMC

Vendor Management:

Own various aspects of the commercial relationship with key vendors supporting SFMC including budget planning and management

Compliance:

Own key processes relating to Data Privacy / GDPR risk – such as Data Retention, DSAR requests

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Must demonstrate understanding of the role of a marketing leading Marketing Automation and Customer Experience platform in the organisation
Experience with using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Experience/understanding of digital tools / assets / platforms (DAM, CMS, CRM, Analytics)
Strong project management background especially in Agile
Strong interpersonal/communication skills, including ability to support cross functional relationships and communicate effectively at all levels
Ability to coordinate a cross functional team to include agencies, suppliers and internal stakeholders
