Salon Manager - Full Time Permanent

Location: Reading, Berkshire
Salary: £29,000 - £30,000, plus bonus and generous tips

The Role:
The Salon Manager is responsible for the efficient operation and people management of the salon. This includes ensuring exceptional service delivery and upholding the highest treatment standards while promoting the brand culture and ethos to drive business success. The role involves a mix of hands-on treatments and administrative responsibilities, requiring both a commercial outlook and leadership experience within a salon environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the salon owner to oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining the highest standards of customer care and service.
• Perform a range of beauty treatments to a high standard, ensuring client satisfaction and promoting repeat business.
• Ensure the salon adheres to all safety and regulatory guidelines, including staff training in first aid, fire safety, and data protection.
• Manage, monitor, and evaluate staff performance through appraisals, team meetings, and professional development to enhance performance.
• Collaborate with the salon owner to review and set quarterly and annual budgets and targets, driving business growth and ensuring financial objectives are met.
• Oversee stock control, ensuring adequate levels are maintained, and generate financial and activity reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Support and contribute to internal and external promotional activities and marketing initiatives, manage appointment bookings and payments, and carry out general reception and administrative duties.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Beauty Therapist with NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent, including leadership experience.
• Proven Spa/Salon Management experience with strong problem-solving, decision-making, and independent working skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, and attend salon events outside regular hours.
