Overview A well-established and highly regarded organisation within the consumer health and FMCG sector is seeking a driven Supply Planner to join their growing supply chain function. This business has a strong reputation for innovation, product quality, and international reach, supplying markets across the UK and globally.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring effective end-to-end supply planning, balancing demand and supply, and maintaining high service levels across a complex product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Planning & Execution
Manage the end-to-end flow of materials and finished goods from external manufacturing partners through to distribution Ensure high service levels and product availability across multiple markets Coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain supply continuityInventory Management
Optimise inventory levels to balance product availability with working capital efficiency Monitor shelf life and reduce risk of obsolete or slow-moving stock Maintain appropriate safety stock levels in line with demand variabilitySupplier & Stakeholder Management
Act as a key point of contact for external manufacturing partners Support capacity planning and secure production slots Monitor supplier performance, ensuring targets around OTIF and quality are metSystems & Data Management
Manage and maintain planning data including lead times, MOQs, and replenishment parameters Utilise ERP and planning systems to support MRP and forecasting activity Ensure accuracy and integrity of supply chain dataSales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
Lead supply planning reviews and contribute to cross-functional alignment Validate demand inputs and assess supply risks and opportunities Develop short-, medium-, and long-term supply plans across product categoriesRequirements
Essential
Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or similar Strong experience in supply planning, MRP, or production scheduling Background within FMCG, consumer goods, healthcare, or similar fast-paced environments Experience managing inventory optimisation and service levelsDesirable
Professional qualifications such as CIPS Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, D365) Advanced Excel and data analysis capability Experience with planning tools and scenario modellingBenefits
