SAP Ariba Project Manager

The Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Ariba Programme / Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale Procurement Transformation initiatives, driving business value through the successful implementation of SAP Ariba solutions. The role will be accountable for end-to-end programme delivery across procurement technology, data, process transformation, change management, and business adoption.

The successful candidate will manage complex portfolios of interdependent projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, delivering measurable business outcomes, and enabling sustainable procurement transformation across the enterprise.

Your responsibilities:

Programme & Delivery Leadership

Lead the end-to-end delivery of Procurement Transformation programmes, including SAP Ariba Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle Management, Risk Management, and Spend Management.

Manage a portfolio of interdependent projects and workstreams, ensuring delivery against programme milestones and business objectives.

Own programme scope, roadmap, schedules, budgets, resources, benefits, and delivery outcomes.

Stakeholder & Governance Management

Partner closely with Procurement, Finance, Legal, Technology, Enterprise Architecture, Security, and business leadership teams.

Establish and manage programme governance structures, steering committees, reporting forums, and decision-making processes.

SAP Ariba & Technology Leadership

Oversee implementation and integration of SAP Ariba within the wider enterprise technology landscape.

Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Data, Integration, and Platform teams.

Ensure alignment with enterprise governance, technology standards, and change frameworks.

Support delivery of Procurement and ESG/CSRD technology initiatives.

Drive the adoption of SAP-first procurement technology solutions.

Promote the use of Automation, AI, Contract Intelligence, and Digital Procurement innovations.

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

Extensive experience delivering large-scale SAP Ariba transformation programmes.

Strong Programme and Project Management experience involving multiple concurrent workstreams.

Proven experience implementing and managing SAP Ariba solutions including:

Strategic Sourcing

Contracts Management

Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP)

Supplier Risk

Spend Analysis

Strong understanding of:

Procurement

Source-to-Pay (S2P)

Supplier Management

Finance integration processes

Compliance and governance controls

Experience managing complex enterprise-wide technology transformation programmes.

Proven experience developing business cases, delivery roadmaps, and implementation strategies.

Strong governance, reporting, risk management, and portfolio management experience.

Experience managing global system integrators, vendors, and third-party suppliers.

Strong knowledge of SAP Ariba integration with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP/CPI, and enterprise applications.

Demonstrated leadership in change management and business adoption initiatives.

Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and influencing skills
