SAP Finace Application Engineer

An established business in Zurich is looking for a hands-on SAP Finance Application Engineer to support its ongoing S/4HANA transformation. This role is ideal for someone who prefers to stay close to the system - configuring, supporting, and improving SAP Finance processes - rather than managing projects from a distance.

• Take an active role in the S/4HANA implementation, working with both internal stakeholders and external consultants.

• Post go-live, oversee the operation, support, and ongoing customization of SAP Finance processes.

• Act as a key contact between IT and the Finance/Controlling teams, helping translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions.

• Ensure strong integration across related areas such as purchasing, logistics, and sales.

• Build reporting solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or Embedded Analytics.

• Coordinate with external service providers while retaining full technical ownership of your area.

• Solid hands-on experience with SAP Finance, ideally including exposure to S/4HANA.

• Familiar with areas such as Accounts Payable/Receivable, General Ledger, Group Reporting, Controlling, or Project System.

• Experience with data modeling or financial analytics is a plus.

• Strong conceptual thinking and ability to solve problems independently.

• Fluent in German, with good command of English.
