Electrical Senior Authorised Person (SAP) Manager - Severn Trent Water
Location - Midlands
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Senior Authorised Person (SAP) Manager to join the team at Galliford Try within our Environment Business.
Ideally, you will be based in or around the Midlands and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Severn Trent region.
You will work on our Severn Trent Water Framework within our Environment Business, who are experienced in successfully delivering schemes of varying sizes, predominately to the Water Industry, across both Treatment and Water schemes.
What you will be doing:
This is a highly demanding key role with key inputs throughout the project lifecycle within the Severn Trent Region/Framework delivery. As Electrical Senior Authorised Person (SAP) Manager, you will be a designated Severn Trent Mentor, appointed under the Severn Trent process, responsible for coordinating Electrical Site Safety Agreements alongside the management, oversight and electrical appointed person duties under the Galliford Try Electrical Safety Rules. You will be the Severn Trent (Midlands) Electrical Safety Subject Matter Expert (SME), representing Galliford Try at Severn Trent electrical safety management forums to promote best practice and provide clear ownership and leadership.
You will also act as the Galliford Try regional electrical installation SME, promoting and ensuring the delivery of electrical installation packages meets UK legislation and Galliford Try process and procedures, and assisting in ensuring electrical packages are delivered in a timely, right-first-time manner with all relevant inspection and test documentation.
You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining electrical safe systems of work in accordance with Site Health and Safety Management procedures on the projects under your control, including regular assessment of new risks and hazards not already covered by existing safety documentation.
