Saw Operative – Rotating Shifts
Location: Patchway, Bristol
Hours: Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours a week
Salary: £15.89ph
Shift pattern:
Week 1: 06:00–14:00
Week 2: 14:00–22:00
Shifts rotate weekly.
We are recruiting an experienced Saw Operative to join a well-established, national company based in Patchway, Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a large and successful business with an excellent reputation, strong contracts, supportive management and a friendly, hardworking team.
Duties will include:
* Operating bandsaws and other relevant cutting machinery
* Cutting materials accurately to the required measurements and specifications
* Reading and following job sheets and cutting instructions
* Measuring and checking finished materials for accuracy and quality
* Carrying out basic machinery checks
* Reporting any faults, defects or production issues
* Completing relevant paperwork accurately
* Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised
* Following all company health and safety procedures
* Working closely with the wider production and warehouse team
Essential requirements:
* Previous experience working as a Saw Operative or Bandsaw Operative
* Experience operating industrial saw or cutting machinery
* Previous experience within a production, manufacturing or similar environment
* Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
* Confident using measurements and following specifications
* A strong understanding of workplace health and safety
* Reliable, punctual and able to work both shifts
* A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
* Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on environment
