Sawman – 3 Week Contract

We are currently recruiting for a Sawman to work for an established engineering company on a 3-week temporary contract.

This is a hands-on role within an engineering environment, involving the cutting and preparation of materials to the required specifications.

Job Details

Contract: 3 weeks
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Equivalent annual salary: £23,793.12

Duties

Operating saws safely and efficiently
Cutting materials accurately to required measurements
Measuring materials and following cutting lists/specifications
Loading and handling materials
Checking the quality of finished cuts
Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
Following health and safety procedures
Working as part of the engineering/production team

Requirements

Previous experience operating saws or working within an engineering/manufacturing environment would be an advantage. Candidates should be reliable, practical, safety-conscious and comfortable working in a hands-on role.

Please note: This is a temporary position for 3 weeks only.
