Senior Business Development Manager – Germany
Office-Based (Germany)

The Advocate Group is proud to be partnering with Monster Energy Europe Limited in the search for a Senior Business Development Manager to join the dynamic and fast-paced German Commercial team.

Position Overview

This is a pivotal commercial role, focused on driving the strategic planning, category development and business performance of the German market. You’ll work cross-functionally with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, and CCEP to shape annual business plans, lead the commercialisation of new product launches, and provide the insight and analysis to accelerate growth across multiple channels.

With one direct report and close collaboration across teams, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a visible impact and help take Monster’s German business to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Business Development Director in annual planning, reporting, and strategic direction.
  • Lead commercial insights, turning data into compelling selling stories using Nielsen, financial, and category data.
  • Act as the key commercial contact for central and local teams, as well as external bottling and franchise partners.
  • Drive commercial readiness for innovation launches and own the execution of NPD business cases and toolkits.
  • Develop tailored insights and recommendations for the German market – particularly across Home and AFH (Away From Home) channels.
  • Coordinate category management and channel strategies, including GS1 implementation and performance tracking.
  • Mentor and develop one direct report; act as a positive influence across the wider team.
  • Contribute to cross-functional commercial projects and initiatives that support long-term growth.

Ideal Candidate

  • Min. 2 years' experience in Category, Business Development, or Commercial Planning roles within FMCG – ideally beverages.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills – comfortable with Nielsen, financial modelling, and performance reporting.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and persuasive presentations.
  • Structured, resilient, and able to manage a broad and demanding workload independently.
  • Confident cross-functional collaborator with excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in both German and English.
  • Comfortable in a hybrid office environment (3 days a week in-office) with occasional travel (1–2 days per month).
