Software Developer - AWS / TypeScript

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to join a multidisciplinary Agile team, building, testing, deploying and supporting secure, cloud-native digital services at scale.
You will work primarily with AWS, TypeScript and Node.js, following modern engineering practices including Test-Driven Development (TDD), pair programming and continuous delivery.
Rate: £465 per day
IR35: Outside IR35
Contract: Initial contract until the end of the year
Location: Hybrid - 1 day per week in London
Start: ASAP

What You'll Be Doing

Developing and maintaining serverless applications using AWS, TypeScript and Node.js
Writing comprehensive automated tests and delivering high-quality code using TDD
Building and managing infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation and SAM
Supporting live services, investigating production issues and driving continuous improvement
Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, code reviews and technical design discussions
Working collaboratively through pair programming and other modern engineering practices
Collaborating with Architects, SREs, Product Owners, Delivery Managers and other technical stakeholders
Helping deliver reliable, secure and scalable digital services

Development: TypeScript, Node.js, Jest/Vitest, Docker

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong commercial experience developing applications using TypeScript and Node.js
Experience building and operating cloud-native services on AWS
Strong understanding and practical experience of TDD and automated testing
Good knowledge of modern software engineering principles and practices
Experience working within Agile, cross-functional delivery teams
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control
Experience supporting live or production services
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
