Location: Wokingham, hybrid 2/3 days per week onsite
Rate: up to £533.60 p/d Umbrella inside IR35

Role purpose / summary
Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of network projects (LAN/WAN, SD‑WAN, Wi‑Fi, security, cloud connectivity, etc.). Translate business requirements into delivery plans, ensuring alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders. Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and budgets using appropriate delivery frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Ensure smooth deployment of network upgrades, migrations, and expansions across multiple sites. Coordinate with architecture, engineering, operations, and third‑party vendors to ensure seamless delivery.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Act as the primary point of contact for network delivery-related communications. Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external suppliers, and service providers. Drive vendor accountability for on-time and quality delivery. Provide regular progress reporting to senior leadership and project governance forums.
Quality, Compliance & Governance
Ensure all network delivery activities comply with company standards, security policies, and industry best practices. Oversee testing, validation, and documentation to support operational readiness. Support change management processes, including CAB (Change Advisory Board) submissions and risk reviews.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline network delivery processes and improve efficiency. Contribute to the development of network delivery standards and best practices. Support capacity planning, lifecycle management, and technology refresh initiatives.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Proven experience delivering network projects in medium to large‑scale environments. Strong understanding of enterprise networking technologies, such as: Routing & Switching (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper) SD‑WAN technologies Firewalls and network security Wireless networks Cloud networking (Azure, AWS, etc.) Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong stakeholder communication skills, both technical and non-technical. Experience working with external network vendors/carriers. Understanding of ITIL processes and change management.
Skills
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, ITIL Foundation, Prince2, PMP). Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, DNA Centre, etc.). Experience delivering large-scale network transformations or cloud migrations.
