What will you be doing? 

Are you a Scaffolding Design Engineer with a knack for precision and innovation? Join us on a cutting-edge project within the defence and aerospace sector, where your expertise will be instrumental in designing temporary structures critical to project execution. You'll be collaborating closely with a team of industry leaders, contributing directly to the core deliverables of the assignment. If you thrive on solving complex challenges and producing CAD-based scaffold designs, this role is tailor-made for you.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Create and deliver high-quality scaffolding design packages, including CAD drawings and structural calculations.
• Interpret and apply design codes and client specifications within a defence/aerospace context.
• Liaise with project engineers and stakeholders to ensure scaffold designs meet safety, compliance, and functionality requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to site teams for scaffold erection and inspection.
• Ensure designs are aligned with project timelines and deliverables while maintaining a strong focus on risk mitigation.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

• Proven experience as a Scaffold Design Engineer – structural engineering background alone is not sufficient.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools for producing scaffold layouts.
• Strong knowledge of TG20, BS EN 12811, and other scaffolding standards.
• Ability to carry out structural calculations manually or using software like STAAD.Pro, Tekla, or Robot Structural Analysis.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
