SOCOTEC’s Environment and Safety team provides expert environmental, health and safety consultancy and compliance services that help organisations manage risk, protect people and safeguard the environment. Our services include environmental monitoring and consultancy, water safety and hygiene solutions with Legionella risk assessments and water system management, fire safety consultancy and inspections, occupational hygiene assessments and workplace exposure monitoring, and specialist advisory support on regulatory and sustainability challenges. As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We’re looking for a dedicated Scheduler to join our Environment and Safety division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Scheduler to join our Environment & Safety team. In this role, you’ll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. 

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

• To coordinate and optimise the scheduling of field-based consultants across asbestos surveying and air monitoring operations.
• To ensure, where possible, the right resource is deployed to the right job at the right time with good communication maintained with key stakeholders in all scenarios.
• This business-critical role must maximise efficiency, utilisation, and commercial performance in line with commercial goals while supporting SOCOTEC's commitment to quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
• The role requires a strong understanding of competencies, operational requirements, and financial impact, alongside the ability to make effective real-time decisions in a fast-paced environment.

To be a successful Scheduler, you should be able to demonstrate:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Mathematics, English, and a science-based subject
• Strong numerical and analytical capability
• Excellent organisational and planning skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Commercial awareness and understanding of business drivers
• Ability to work independently and make decisions
• Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
