Scheduling Coordinator

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Scheduling Coordinator to join a busy aerospace engineering company based in Swansea.

This is a varied role responsible for coordinating logistics, dispatch and production scheduling, ensuring materials and finished products are delivered on time and customer requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate daily and weekly dispatches and shipments

Manage and update production schedules to meet deadlines

Arrange and monitor transport and freight, including export shipments

Manage customer delivery and dispatch portals

Coordinate deliveries to and from subcontractors

Raise and manage purchase orders and goods received notes

Arrange transportation of subcontracted work and materials

Monitor freight and transportation costs and identify cost-saving opportunities

Work closely with Production, Planning, Operations, Customers and Subcontractors

Support process improvements and create/update SOPs

Assist with customer queries, complaints and general administration when required

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in Logistics, Scheduling, Planning or Coordination

Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment is advantageous

Strong organisational and time-management skills

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external customers

A proactive, can-do attitude

Experience using SAP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Understanding of continuous and process improvement

Hours & Pay

Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm for the first 2 weeks

Following this, the successful candidate will move onto a 4 on, 4 off shift patterns, working:

6:00am – 6:00pm

£16.35 per hour on day shifts
£20.45 per hour once moved onto the 4 on, 4 off shift patterns

This is a temporary ongoing position, with immediate starts available for the successful candidate.
