Job Description - Schemes Lead Portfolio Analyst

A leading specialist insurer is hiring a Schemes Lead Portfolio Analyst to shape performance and profitable growth across its MGA portfolio. This is a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of portfolio strategy, analytics, underwriting and senior leadership, with real influence over how delegated authority business is selected, managed and scaled.

Key responsibilities

Lead portfolio performance and strategy across an existing MGA book, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
Analyse new MGA opportunities to assess risk, return and strategic fit.
Deliver data-led insight and visualisation to senior underwriting leadership, including large case review.
Build analytical frameworks, tools and data standards to support active portfolio management.

What we're looking for

Strong experience in portfolio or performance management, with clear MGA exposure.
Advanced analytical capability (R, SQL and Power BI highly valued).
Confident, commercial communicator able to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.

Flexible working, senior visibility, and the opportunity to play a central role in shaping a growing MGA portfolio.
