Job Description - Schemes Underwriter - Professional Indemnity

Join a specialist insurer with a market-leading Schemes proposition, underwriting niche PI risks through trusted broker partners.

This role sits at the heart of a high-performing Schemes team, balancing technical underwriting with broker engagement. You'll help shape underwriting strategy while driving profitable growth across a delegated portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Underwrite and manage a portfolio of PI Schemes, handling referrals and complex risks.
Partner with brokers to deliver market-leading service and sustainable growth.
Contribute to portfolio strategy, risk selection, and profitability outcomes.
Support sector leadership in shaping underwriting direction and innovation.

Qualifications / Experience

Proven experience in PI or Schemes underwriting.
Strong decision-making, analytical, and negotiation skills.
ACII qualified or progressing towards.
Confident communicator with strong broker-facing capability.
