School Administration Officer – Beckenham
 
Location: Beckenham, Southeast London
Contract: Term Time Only
Hours: 36 hours per week
Pay: £14.25 – £18.00 per hour, depending on experience
Start Date: 21 September 2026
 
Horizon Teachers are recruiting for an experienced School Administration Officer to join a primary school in Beckenham. This is a varied role supporting the effective day-to-day running of the school office and providing high-quality administrative support to staff, pupils and parents.
 
Key Responsibilities

Provide efficient administrative and clerical support across the school office
Maintain accurate pupil information, attendance and computerised school records
Support admissions, pupil transfers and other pupil-related administration
Provide administrative support to the Headteacher and senior leadership team
Assist with finance, orders, invoices, staff records and general school office processesRequirements

Previous administration experience, ideally within an education or school environment
Experience using Arbor or a similar school Management Information System (MIS)
Strong IT, communication and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
