Hodge Hill College is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our office team as a Cover School Administrator. This role involves managing and leading administrative procedures to organise, administer, and coordinate the daily provision of internal and external cover for absent teaching and non-teaching staff. As a Cover School Administrator, you will organise cover for staff absences, take absence calls, follow absence recording procedures, and make daily check-in calls to absent staff. You will process leave of absence and cover requests, organise emergency cover, and ensure supply teachers are briefed and supported. Additionally, you will monitor pre-planned absences, process re-rooming requests, and ensure safeguarding compliance for agency cover teachers. Acting as the main point of contact for any matters relating to cover, you will update the staff daily absence records and record this information in Oracle and SIMS, working with the HR Manager to obtain any updates. You will maintain accurate records of all cover used, adhere to financial procedures, and communicate any concerns regarding supply staff. Ensuring cover staff have access to relevant systems and resources, and providing basic induction training for temporary cover staff are also key responsibilities. Outside of daily cover work, you will support the Administration Team under the direction of the School Business Manager to ensure efficient school operations. We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within an administrative team. Enthusiasm and motivation for the role are essential. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016). Therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
