Caretaker – The Role
A welcoming and well-established mainstream secondary school in Bishop's Stortford is seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join their site team immediately. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the school premises, carrying out basic repairs and maintenance, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and assisting with the day-to-day running of the site.
Duties will include opening and closing the school, monitoring site security, liaising with contractors, carrying out routine maintenance tasks, and supporting the school with any operational needs. Previous experience in a school environment is desirable but not essential for candidates with strong caretaking or facilities management experience.
This is a long-term position with the view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.
