Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the school buildings and grounds are kept safe, secure, clean, and in good decorative order.

• Perform reactive maintenance tasks and routine planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.

• Assist with the setup and clearing of halls and classrooms for examinations, assemblies, and external community lettings.

• Monitor stock levels of cleaning and maintenance materials, placing orders when necessary.

• Respond to site emergencies quickly and effectively, ensuring dynamic risk management.

Requirements:

• Experience working as a caretaker or in a professional maintenance/handyperson capacity.

• Good practical DIY skills and familiarity with using a variety of hand and power tools safely.

• Physically fit and capable of managing heavy lifting, working at heights, and outdoor seasonal duties.

• Trustworthy, punctual, and reliable with a proactive approach to troubleshooting site issues.

• Full commitment to maintaining a safe educational environment for pupils and staff.
