Catering Assistant (Temp Ongoing)

Requirement: Must have an Enhanced DBS on the updated service or willing to apply for one

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dependable Catering Assistants to work in schools across the Retford area on a temporary ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food in accordance with the school’s menu and food safety guidelines..

* Serve meals to students and staff efficiently and with a friendly manner.

* Ensure all food is presented attractively and served at the correct temperature.

* Maintain a clean, tidy, and hygienic kitchen and dining area.

* Wash up dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring that all items are cleaned and stored properly.

* Assist with checking and storing food deliveries.

* Follow school policies and procedures regarding food safety, hygiene, and allergen awareness.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Previous experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role is desirable but not essential.

* Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen hygiene, and food safety practices is beneficial.

* Typical hours: 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday
