We are seeking a reliable, practical, and proactive Site Assistant Caretaker to join our site team as soon as possible. This is an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school by ensuring the site is safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained.

About the Role

As Site Assistant Caretaker, you will work as part of the site team to maintain high standards across the school premises. You will support the Site Manager in ensuring the buildings and grounds are safe, fully operational, and ready for use by students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Opening and securing the school site, including locking/unlocking buildings
Supporting the Site Manager with daily site operations
Carrying out basic repairs and routine maintenance tasks
Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained across the site
Identifying and reporting maintenance issues and hazards
Supporting cleaning standards and general site cleanliness
Assisting with room setups for exams, events, and school activities
Managing deliveries and supporting site security
Responding to urgent issues and site emergencies when required

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
Practical and hands-on with basic maintenance skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Proactive and willing to use initiative
Committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming school environment
Flexible and responsive to the needs of the school
Previous experience in caretaking, facilities, or maintenance is desirable but not essential
