This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and hands-on ICT professional to review, modernise and develop an established ICT infrastructure, helping to create a secure, reliable and future-ready technology environment that supports outstanding teaching, learning and operational excellence.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Strategic Business Manager, you will play a key leadership role across the school, taking ownership of the ICT strategy and overseeing all aspects of technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems management and ICT service delivery.

You will have the opportunity to shape the school's long-term digital vision while leading significant infrastructure projects and developing a high-performing ICT team.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement the school's ICT strategy in line with school improvement priorities.

* Lead, manage and develop the ICT support team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

* Oversee the maintenance, development and security of the school's ICT infrastructure.

* Manage networks, servers, cloud services, telephony systems, wireless infrastructure and end-user devices.

* Lead ICT modernisation and infrastructure improvement projects from planning through to completion.

* Ensure all systems are secure, scalable, resilient and compliant with relevant legislation and guidance.

* Take responsibility for cybersecurity, business continuity planning and disaster recovery.

* Manage ICT budgets, procurement activities and supplier contracts.

* Build strong relationships with staff, students, senior leaders and external partners.

* Ensure ICT services effectively support teaching, learning and operational requirements across the school.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an experienced ICT professional who can demonstrate:

* Significant experience managing ICT infrastructure within an education setting or a similarly complex organisation.

* Proven experience leading and developing ICT teams.

* Strong project management experience, including delivering large-scale technology improvements.

* Excellent knowledge of:

* Microsoft 365

* Cloud-based technologies

* Networking and wireless infrastructure

* Cybersecurity and cyber resilience

* Device management and endpoint security

* Experience managing budgets, procurement processes and supplier relationships.

* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Essential Knowledge

Applicants should possess a strong understanding of:

* Department for Education Digital and Technology Standards.

* Online safety requirements within educational settings.

* Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance relating to technology, safeguarding and filtering/monitoring systems.

* GDPR, data protection legislation and information security principles.

* Business continuity planning and disaster recovery processes.
