We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join our vibrant Science Faculty. This role involves carrying out the professional duties of a school teacher as specified in the Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Act, under the guidance of the Head of Faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching science at Key Stage 3 and 4 and contributing to the development of our curriculum.

• Establish effective relationships with students, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, parents, and other professionals.
• Deliver the National Curriculum and other programmes of study effectively, considering the needs and responses of students and adhering to the school’s SEND Policy.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that fosters good working and learning habits.
• Utilize a variety of resources, materials, books, and equipment to enhance student learning.
• Provide intervention for underperforming students and track their progress, offering timely interventions in collaboration with the Head of Faculty.
• Plan and deliver relevant, exciting, challenging, and differentiated lessons.
• Provide effective, relevant, and regular feedback in line with the school’s Assessment for Learning policy.
• Manage student behaviour effectively to ensure a constructive learning environment.
• Participate in out-of-hours learning opportunities and contribute to the whole life of the school.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in teaching science.
• Experience teaching science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
• Ability to plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to professional development and willingness to engage in further training.
• Ability to contribute to the development of curricula and resources.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
