The Role:

We’re seeking a qualified Science Teacher with previous experience teaching pupils with SEMH or similar additional needs. The ideal candidate will be resilient, nurturing, and passionate about helping young people engage with learning through creative, accessible, and therapeutic teaching approaches.

You will:

• Deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE level)
• Differentiate planning to meet a wide range of needs and abilities
• Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including therapists and pastoral staff
• Support emotional development and promote positive behaviour
• Build trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced significant challenges

Essential Requirements:

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience working in SEMH, alternative provision, or specialist settings
• A strong understanding of trauma-informed practice
• A commitment to inclusive, pupil-centred education
