Long Term Teachers are looking for qualified Science Teachers to support secondary schools in Bath. As a teacher, you will be responsible for the students progress in the department as well as planning and preparing lessons. Lessons should be engaging and adaptable to all abilities of students

We work closely with a number of secondary schools in the Somerset and Wiltshire area, who regularly need long-term cover and permanent teaching support within their Science departments.  Full time and part time roles may be available depending on the schools needs, and planning and preparation will also be part of the role.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Science to Secondary Students
• Plan and deliver lessons on the national curriculum. 
• Mark work, assess progress and provide feedback.
• Contribute to a safe and focused learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider staff.

Requirements:

• QTS and a degree in a Science - related subject
• Experience teaching in secondary schools
• Good classroom management and communication skills
• Strong subject knowledge and lesson delivery skills.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
